OVERVIEW
The E94B is a 1394b/Firewire Host Adapter for
Multimedia Application, which is specifically designed to
plug into a desktop or laptop equipped with an ExpressCard
slot. The E94B has two external 1394b/Firewire ports
that can support dozens of 1394b/Firewire devices like video
cameras, hard drives, and CDR-W devices
The
E94B supports up to 63 devices
chained together and multimedia isochronous application (Audio
and video applications require a guaranteed isochronous delivery
of data to prevent delayed or out-of-order frames). 1394b/Firewire
does that, and does it better than USB 2.0.

Before Purchasing
ExpressCard 1394b / Firewire 800 Host Adapter:
E94B is built on this new technology
to provide Firewire 800/1394b interface for 1394a & 1394b
peripherals.
Firewire 800/1394b has a
9-Pin connector, rather than Firewire 400's
4-Pin or 6-Pin connector
In order for E94B to work properly,
please check the following:
1) Your notebook/laptop has
ExpressCard / 54 interface
2) Your notebook/laptop has the
latest BIOS
update from the manufacturer
3) For Firewire 400 / 1394a
peripheral, you need either a "4-Pin
to 9-Pin" or "6-Pin
to 9-Pin" cable
4) For Firewire 800 / 1394b
peripheral, you need a "9-Pin
to 9-Pin" cable
